Angela Winkler, a living theatre and film legend, accepted our invitation, and her performance opens the festival. She participated in THESPIS in 2006 with her tender, highly acclaimed poetry evening I LOVE YOU, I CAN’T SAY. Angela, who has recently celebrated her 80th birthday, has always wanted to be a singer. Especially for THESPIS, she put together a program of her personal favorite songs – from Franz Schubert to Barbra Streisand, Bertolt Brecht, Friedrich Holländer and Lou Reed – and will present it to her Kiel audience as an exclusive premiere.
Angela Winkler will be accompanied by the renowned theater musician and pianist Matthias Stötzel (St. Pauli Theater, Hamburg) and the Kiel violinist Rebecca Borchert.
